September – Time to Remember

September 15th, 2008 Dave Posted in family No Comments »

September rolls around once a year.  It’s a good time to remember that family and loved ones are very important.  It’s a time for new beginings, a time when the heat of the summer turns to the cool Autumn.  We’ve been living in ridgefield for 9 months now.  We’ve had some ups and downs, but at the end of the day, it takes more than a hammer and nail to make this house a home.  Thanks for visiting our blog and we look forward to updating you in the future.

The June Croon

Hi from the blog world! We wanted to write and give a small update this month. The house front is going well. We’ve learned that despite our original thinking, we need an air conditioner. We’ve been joined in the house by a few dozen digger wasps that have made a small city in our yard. The arduous task of getting rid of them has begun, and we hope to have our yard back within the next week or two. There seems to be more bugs and animals around this country house than we both are used to, but it just makes for interesting surprises.

We’ve gotten out for a couple bike rides this season. There are a bit more hills around the new house, but a lot less traffic.

Both of us are working hard, and spend much of our time working, working out, and what ever is left over, we work on the house. Sounds fun? it is.. we both love it.

We are excited for our trip to Israel next month. Johanna will be working for a few days and we will also have a great opportunity to spend some time with family.

Dave has taken the opportunity to spend the time on the train studying and has been accepted to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s Holistic Health counseling program at Columbia Teachers College.

More to come.
